Keithley Instruments to Sponsor Conference on Silicon Carbide and Related Materials

Cleveland, Ohio - September 9, 2011 - Keithley Instruments, Inc., a world leader in advanced electrical test instruments and systems, announced today that it will be a major sponsor and an exhibitor at the International Conference on Silicon Carbide and Related Materials (ICSCRM) coming to Cleveland. The conference, to be held September 11-16, 2011, at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel, focuses on the use of these materials in microelectronics and MEMS (Micro-Electronic Mechanical Systems) technology and will feature more than 350 technical presentations and 30 exhibitors. A variety of Keithley instrumentation optimized for power semiconductor device testing will be on display in Booth #10 during exhibit hours and measurement experts will be on hand to discuss their applications. In addition to serving as a major sponsor for the conference, Keithley will host a luncheon in the exhibit hall on Monday, September 12, and an evening reception during the course of the conference. Keithley's VP of Marketing, Mark Hoerston, will present a company capabilities overview during the Industrial Session to be held on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The ICSCRM conference offers an international forum for the exchange of ideas on recent scientific and technical issues among researchers and engineers in industrial, academic and public sectors. Its aim is to present and discuss recent progress in crystal growth, characterization and control of material properties, as well as other basic research issues concerning silicon carbide (SiC) and other wide-bandgap semiconductors.
